Balanced Mind Pittsburgh presents The LIFE CAFE
I was born and raised in the Pittsburgh area in an Italian community surrounded by family. I love this city and all it has to offer.
I have followed a healing path for most of my life and studied a variety of holistic therapies and philosophies. My personal journey lead me to be completely immersed in the study of various yoga traditions, shamanic cultures and indigenous wisdom, including Star Knowledge. When I was diagnosed with Celiac disease, I learned to empower myself through the healing power of natural foods and embraced a holistic life style. I enjoy sharing what I have learned with others and am currently self-employed in the holistic health care field. I offer Yoga instruction, Acupressure, and Reflexology as well as organize Holistic Healing events all over the city.
I recently acquired a space to have a home location to host events and a cafe for the community gatherings. My business partner, Jeanine, and I will use this space to continue our efforts to empower others to heal body, mind and soul. We envision a place to gather and to experience alternative forms of healing. We believe that creativity is the key to accessing inner realms for deep healing and self expression.

More about this loan
Our dream is to open The LIFE CAFE, which will be a place for the community to explore holistic and artistic activities. We hope to utilize our space to support local visual, music and performance artists. The CAFE will serve the community by offering a vegan menu and other healthy food items. We hope it will become a regular morning stop for locals and visitors looking to pick up coffee, breakfast items and light lunch selections.
I have been working with the support of the Mt. Washington Community Development Corporation and the Urban Redevelopment Authority to revive a building in a lesser known business district within beautiful Mt. Washington. The acquired space is on the busy corner of Boggs and Wyoming.
We aim to open the doors of The LIFE CAFE in fall of 2016.
