¨Melodias que Sanan School¨ was founded by Abdiel Echevarria Torres and Caroline Moreno Rodriguez in 2002, but had been in the making for 8 years. During this time, we worked on market research by developing interviews and studies – our objective was to develop a viable project people wanted and liked. Our goal is for our students to reach instrumental, vocal and artistic excellence, through an environment that promotes positive values. We are developing artistic skills in children, youth and adults through a personalized program.
Our schools program has been successful in Juana Díaz, Guayama and Ponce attracting students of all ages. We intend to impact the Santa Isabel community and neighboring towns, and at the same time help promote positive values in youth. We believe our school is serving a need, our focus is directed towards a future built on character, discipline and accountability. As part of our commitment towards our community, our students are required to work on community service projects — they showcase their talents in hospitals, home cares and other community focused centers.
Our program is delivered by seven professors of different academic backgrounds – bachelors and/or masters in musical education and an administrative staff.
We offer entry level, intermediate and advanced courses in singing, piano, guitar, bass, percussion, battery, violin, trumpet, saxophone, flute, etc. We deliver our classes in group settings and offer training, musical ensembles and concerts where we celebrate our students accomplishments.
Our 16 years of experience have allowed us to work towards developing musical leaders of different sectors and ages. We want to use music to leave our mark in the world– we work in a program that benefits children, youth and adults, including students with special needs. Music is the bridge that connects towns with nations.
