Briarwood Cattle Farm
I was born and raised in Florida in a drug infested area where my parents worked very hard to keep us on the right track. After graduating high school I joined the military to provide for my family and to help serve my country. After dedicating 15 years of service and going to war I found myself lost and dealing with PTSD. My father saw I was suffering from PTSD and introduced me to farming. Though farming and working with the cattle I’m learning to re adjust to the civilian world. After my fathers passing I continued his dreams of me becoming a cattleman and I’m very thankful to help feed America and becoming better person with the outstanding support from the Farmers Veteran Coalition.

More about this loan
Briarwood Cattle Farm is a first generation cattle operation. After I honorably served in the U.S. Army my father saw that farming will help me with my PTSD. Upon the wishes of my late father, the Rev. Kirby Frink, and under the current mentorship of Mr. Campbell, I’m now grazing my cattle near Raeford North Carolina. In 2015, my life long dream of cattle farming became a reality and I’m continually seeking my education in cattle ranching to help support my family and supply my hometown with healthy beef supply . My challenges are needing financial support to purchase cattle and to get the proper equipment to keep the cattle farm operational. I’m also grateful for the Farmers Veterans Coalition because they provide a network of support for soldiers and veterans to connect and share resources while working on the land. There is an old saying that the land heals: my life is a testimony to that.
