If we’ve never met before, my name is Melissa Polinar. I sing. I write songs. I’ve been doing this for quite some time now. 2013 was the last time I solely committed to recording a project of my own. Out of that journey, “Calls and Echoes” was born (available everywhere, digitally at least) & was released January 2014. Now here we are 2 or so years later, I have been in-and-out of the studio slowly creating.
Creating. What a loaded word.
At first, I was not sure if I wanted to sign up for another emotional journey in creating a new body of work.
At first, I didn’t know if I had something new to say that I didn’t already share before.
At first, I didn’t quite believe in my craft like I used to – and that I should wait for another season to come a long to start writing and recording again.
At first, I was clouded with so much doubt.
But sometimes, we have to go against the grain, go against every doubting voice that live inside our heads, and simply….
We live on Earth to share our voices, our gifts, our music – whatever form they take on.
So here we are. This is for you and I – always been.
A “Melissa Polinar” EP project for 2016.
Join me, if you haven’t already.
…or keep riding along if you and I go way back.
