A Little Water

Our story is about loss, love, and family. Something we can all relate to. The impact of a tragic accident can manifest itself within your relationships and career, especially when you’re keeping secrets. Led by a female director & cinematographer we are due to shoot at a secluded lake house.

About The Project

A Little Water is a story about the secrets we keep. On the anniversary of a tragic accident four people come together for a weekend by the lake. What transpires in the next twenty-four hours between siblings, friends, and lovers will change them forever.

Why this film?

Our film is about love, loss, and family. We strongly believe that we have a provocative story to tell, that is entangled with relationship hardship, family loyalty, and a tragic loss; these themes are complicated by the towering pressure to succeed in your career.

Why us?

We are two actors who live to tell stories. We have assembled a company of creative people that are passionate about telling this story, and we have been given so much already thanks to some wonderful creative companies and individuals. We are shooting on location at a lakehouse in New Jersey on the RED EPIC DRAGON. If the importance of WOMEN IN FILM interests you as much as it does us, then GREAT. We have a female writer, female director, and a female cinematographer.

About This Team

Director: Alexandra Zelman-Doring is an award winning writer, director, and actor. In 2005, she founded Throes Theater, a Drama-Desk winning company whose plays have premiered in the UK and in the US at theaters including The Flea Theater, 59E59, Dixon Place, Access Theater, Theater for the New City, and HERE Arts Center. She has collaborated with filmmakers, musicians, and performers from all over the world. Her work assisting Polina Klimovitskaya (Russian master acting teacher who studied with Meyerhold and disciples of Stanislavski and Vaktangov) greatly influenced her unique approach to acting.

Cinematographer: Alice Miller was born and raised in London, UK. She started making art films during high school and developed this interest at Brighton Art School before crossing the pond to attend New York University. Studying an individualized degree, ‘Mesmerizing the Masses’, at NYU’s Gallatin, she mixed the theoretical, philosophical and practical sides of image making and examined its place in today’s world. She finished her education with a year at New York Film Academy. Alice realized that the visual part of film making was the most natural for her and devoted her energy to cinematography. She loves to find an unusual and non commercial angle to tell a story, something unexpected but somehow familiar. She now works freelance on music videos, narrative and experimental films, and commercials in Europe and USA.

Molly Montgomery is a New York City based actress.  Her first published play, Snakes I Have Known premiered at Theatre Row in the United Solo Festival. The following summer it opened to a sold out theatre in the International Fringe Festival. She has co-starred on Law & Order SVU in Theatre Tricks. As well as multiple independent films such as “Preoccupied”. Most recently she co-founded Paired Entertainment.

Charles Warburton is an English actor who resides in New York City. He is currently filming a feature based on the Chekhov short story The Black Monk. Charles has appeared in many commercial campaigns worldwide.  He co-founded Paired Entertainment at the beginning of 2016. Charles is represented by Door 24 Entertainment and CESD.

Gregory James Cohan is a New York based actor.  Recent credits include The Velocipastor, My Dirty Little Secret, and Space Available.  He is also a resident artist with New Light Theater Project starring in several of their mainstage productions, including the New York premiere of Picture Ourselves in Latvia (Ross Howard).  When not performing, Gregory works with Seed&Spark – the crowdfunding and distribution platform for independent films – in both Business Development and Strategic Partnerships.

Frances Eve is known for her work on the television shows Vinyl, House of Cards, Blue Bloods and Public Morals, in addition to several short and feature films. Originally from Atlanta, Frances graduated from the American University of Paris with a BA in art history and French before moving to New York to attend the acting conservatory at Stella Adler Studio. Currently represented by Davis Spylios Management, Frances lives in Park Slope, Brooklyn.

Pascal Yen-Pfister was born just outside of Paris. After leaving home at a young age, his passion for numerous facets of the art world began to fascinate him, especially performing as a musician and as an actor. Since finding his feet in New York City, Pascal has completed hundreds of projects from commercials and music videos to feature films. Some of his recent Film/TV highlights include; “Experimenter” (Dir: M. Almereyda) with Peter Saarsgard and Winona Ryder (voted one of 2015’s 10 best films by New York Magazine). He will also appear in the next Clint Eastwood film “Sully”. Television highlights include: Turn on AMC and Blacklist with James Spader.
