New York, NY
We’re back with a new Co-Op to stock up for remainder of 2016. Last year was a blow out as we nearly tripled revenues despite severe capital constraints. If you didn’t get a chance to get in on our previous Co-Op, now is your chance! We will be using the proceeds of this Co-Op to fund the balance of our factory order so we can finally start meeting the incredible demand we’re seeing from our international customer base.
Big things are coming and we’re so excited to back on Kickfurther! If you’re in the NYC area, please stop by our first guide shop located at 35 Christopher Street between 7th Avenue and Waverly – we would love to see you!
We’re just a couple guys in New York City who want you to look good. Real good. We were tired of the traditional retail experience and decided to strike out on our own. So we packed our bags and flew to Italy with one goal in mind: stylish, comfortable shoes made from the highest quality materials we could find, delivered straight to you. Mission accomplished.
For men who understand the importance of shoes, there are very limited options in the current dress shoe ecosystem. When we set out on this venture, we knew we wanted quality, but we weren’t interested in creating a pair of thousand dollar shoes. We never understood why beautiful, timeless shoes were still monopolized by the traditional brands while other parts of the fashion world were being disrupted by the powers of technology.
Suddenly, a light bulb went off.
Let’s make our own shoes and deliver them directly to customers. No middleman markups. From our hands to yours using the power of the Internet, with an assist from the delivery guy.
At the beginning of our journey, we collaborated internationally with individuals and factories in six countries, leading us to our hand-picked factory in Naples, Italy. We met with men who know how to make shoes, men whose families have been in the business for generations and who have learned more about leather than we’ll ever know. Shoe guys.
We selected the finest italian calfskin that’s used by the greatest luxury brands in the world. We negotiated aggressively and cut some deals. It wasn’t easy, but we did it. And after a whirlwind, James Bond-like tour (minur the laser-shooting Omega), we’re making our shoes available to you.
Evan Fript (CEO) and Ben Earley (Head of Business Development) lead the Paul Evans team in all aspects of the business including product design, manufacturing, logistics, selling and marketing, finance and operations. Evan has a BSM in Finance and a Master’s in Finance, both from Tulane University (’09 and ’10). He has five years experience in investment banking/capital markets in New York City. Ben has a BSM in Finance also from Tulane University (’09) and worked at a bulge-bracket wealth management firm helping manage clients and their private investments.
Three hires have been made YTD, including a sales associate to run the guide shop (35 Christopher Street), an operations analyst to manage order and return processing, and a marketing analyst to manage our social media and email campaigns.
Beneath Mount Vesuvius, in the Gulf of Naples, lies a factory of artisans that have been producing the world’s finest shoes for generations.
After a year-long search for the most renowned shoemakers in the world, we fortuitously found ourselves in Naples, where we began a fruitful relationship with the Napolitano factory that expertly crafts each pair of Paul Evans.
Our shoes are Blake stitched, a superior construction method that yields numerous benefits, including: maximum sole flexibility for exceptional comfort, a sleek fashionable aesthetic, and ease of re-soling for years of wear. Made using the highest quality Italian calfskin leather, our shoes easily surpass out competitors in terms of quality and design. But perhaps what makes our footwear so breathtaking is the hand painted finish. Each pair of Paul Evans is painted by a skilled Napolitano artisan to create a truly remarkable and unique finishing effect that will turn heads.
