Oscar’s story

Oscar is 51 years old and studied through the third grade of high school. He is married and has 4 children, of which two are still minors.

Since he was a boy, he has worked in the cultivation of bananas and cacao because his family members are hardworking farmers. Oscar inherited his father’s 79-hectare plot of land 25 years ago, but because of the armed conflict, in 2002, he was displaced by the violence and had to abandon his crops.

Despite this bad experience, when he found himself in other circumstances, thanks to his passion for the countryside he returned to Tame where, two years ago, to took back control of his farm and planted three hectares of banana and one of cacao. His goal is to plant one more hectare of banana, which is why he needs this loan to pay for supplies, banana sprouts, and labor.
