Flor De Canela De J.p. Group’s story

The communal group “Flor de Canela de J.P.” will begin its first loan cycle with Pro Mujer, as part of the Centro Focal Juan Pablo II. It is made up of ten members and is led by officers, of whom Segundina is the president.

The loan that they will get will benefit the small micro-entrepreneurs of whom Segundina is one. Currently, she has a business selling boiled drinks. She says that she learned this business by her own initiative some years ago.

The loan that she will get now will be to increase her capital, she will purchase sugar and cinnamon in bulk, which she will get from the wholesalers int he city of La Paz. After making it, she will sell it in her stall. This type of work allows her to generate resources to support her family economically, since she is single and has four children.
