I’m an educator, learning disability therapist, public speaker, and an ambitious entrepreneur who is chasing the honest dream of providing education to those in need. My years of academic tutoring and experience providing learning disability therapy to students with ADHD, ADD, dyslexia, and other learning barriers have instilled in me the value of education, inspiring me to develop a platform that helps students reach their academic goals. In my corporate beginnings as an IT consultant, although I developed technical competency, I found myself yearning to be personally engaged in the community through my work. In my consideration of life paths, I thought back to what I truly found fulfillment in, and came to the realization that it was the experiences I had with teaching others that meant the most to me. I changed my field of focus to education, in which I was able to interact with young and curious minds, and help them tap into their potential to accomplish success. After working with several students in a one on one setting, I was made aware of the magnitude of influence that supplemental studies have on a student’s education and found that there was a significant need for private tutoring in the community which spurred the start of Suprex Learning in 2011. I started recruiting friends and contacts to join the Suprex Team and together, our enthusiasm and genuine interest in the cause led to the company towards exponential growth. Currently, Suprex Learning is an academic consulting and educational therapy company serving all grade levels from elementary to college. As the sole owner and director, I grew Suprex Learning from the ground up to a company providing educational support to students throughout major cities in the US, including Greater Houston, Chicago, and New York.

More about this loan
Suprex Learning is a private tutoring company providing academic support to students from K-12, undergraduate, and graduate levels in a plethora of subjects including math, science, reading, test prep, and learning disability therapy. We have carved a niche into helping students with educational disabilities including ADHD, dyslexia, and more. The company’s objective is to make a difference in the academic endeavors of students and to overcome learning barriers. One of the first students I started tutoring in 2011 was an 8th grade student diagnosed with learning disabilities including ADHD, dyslexia and a math learning disability. His mother thought she would never see him graduate high school. However, I was determined to help the student conquer their learning barrier and guide them to the success I knew they could achieve. Seeing the transformation in her son’s academics and confidence, the parent encouraged me to start my company with a special emphasis on learning disabilities. Sure enough with dedication and hard work in 2016, her son graduated high school and was accepted to Sam Houston State University. It was an honor to take part in my student’s graduation, as it is the close bond with my clients and families that I sincerely value. It is moments like these that assure me that my cause is truly making a difference in people’s lives. My goal now is to program a software that helps us manage our tutoring company.
What is the purpose of this loan?
Our programmer has designed a software that will help us manage our tutoring company more efficiently, providing a streamlined workflow for parents and students to enroll in our services and tutors to apply to our organization. This software will also allow us to visualize student grade improvement data more easily; administration and parents will be able to see the immediate value that our tutoring is providing based on score and grade inputs. Students will also be able to take practice standardized tests online and get immediate feedback all in one central system. Currently, we have completed the design phase of the software of which I have committed $8,000 from our company credit card. This Kiva loan will help us fund the remaining project plan that will cost over $25,000 and initiate the first phase of programming in which we will be able to use a working product. This software could save our company hundreds of hours of administrative time which can be time spent on improving our academic programs and materials to better help our students. We project our revenue to increase 100% year over year after implementing this software.
