Ahorradoras De Tambillo Group’s story

The “Savers of Tambillo” Credit Association is launching its third loan cycle with Pro Mujer, as a member of the Copacabana Focal Center. The group is composed of nine members and is directed by a general committee with Jenara as President.

The loan they are requesting will benefit small micro-entrepreneurs, including Jenara. At present, she has a business selling cheese. Jenara tells us that she learned this business on her own initiative some years ago.

The loan Jenara is applying for will be used to augment her capital available for purchasing cattle, which she will acquire from vendors in her community. After raising the cattle, they will serve as a means of producing milk [for making cheese]. This form of work will allow Jenara to generate resources to help her family economically, since she is married and has five children.

In this group: Jenara, Julia , David, Angelica, Veronica, Yola Felipa, Angelica, Maria Magdalena, Jhony
