Jeanne is married and the mother of 4 children. She sells a variety of items and she has been running her business for 15 years. She needs a loan to buy bags of rice, meat and condiments to prepare her meals and to sell. Her restaurant is beside the central market and she is known for the quality and diversity of her food. She is also respectful and welcoming to her customers. All these things make her business successful. After her sales she will have earnings which will allow her to save money to take care of her family and also to continue with her business. This is her 24th loan contracted with ACFIME and her repayments have been made regularly.

ACFIME is a microfinance institution in Burkina Faso that provides loans to women and farmers in low-income communities. Kiva funding allows ACFIME to offer solidarity loans to groups of women and agricultural loans to farmers who struggle to receive loans from other microfinance institutions in the country. With Kiva funding, ACFIME has the capacity to have a huge impact on the economic and social-well being of the most marginalized people in Burkina Faso.
