Phillip’s story

I’m Phill I own a small auto repair shop in Detroit Michigan I specialize in brake and suspension repair. After about 16 years in the same location I found that I don’t have the proper zoning at my building. Now I have started an onsite auto repair service. It has been a challenge but things are coming together I need to upgrade my onsite vehicle and hire an assistant. I have very fair prices I refuse to overcharge the customer so its a little harder for me to raise the money I would like, but I’m very good at managing my overhead. Once I have the capital I’m working toward I will be able to take on much more volume, and will make more money. I have had an entrepreneurial spirit as long as I can remember.

This loan is special because:

It helps a community-minded entrepreneur in Detroit grow his business and create job opportunity.

More about this loan

Business Description

KBI auto comes to your home or job to do brake and suspension repairs. I decided to start this business in 1995 at the age of 16. I started this business because I trust myself to provide job security for myself and my employees. I love to help others out of a bad situation, and cars keep you in bad situations, and I give great prices. My biggest challenge right now is getting payroll together so I can hire an assistant so we can take on more jobs, because I won’t take more customers if I am not able to get to them in a timely manner. I am proud to that in all my years in business I have never overcharged any of my customers and I never will.

What is the purpose of this loan?

This loan will help me upgrade my onsite vehicle and hire an assistant. With an assistant and an upgraded vehicle I will be able to attract more customers and take good care of them.
