The power of artificial intelligence. The creativity of humans. Introducing the world’s first machine co-written feature film!
Aside from being an AWESOME horror film, IMPOSSIBLE THINGS is engineered using big data and Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) from the initial creative stage to ensure that it is the scariest and creepiest horror film out there!
We’ve combined science and art to revolutionize how movies are made.
We’re making the first A.I. co-written feature film, marking the next step in human-computer collaboratively-created original content.
Disturbed by the death of her young daughter, a career-driven Mother and her out-of-work husband leave the city and move to an idyllic and secluded country home. Trading in a hectic career, Madeline – the wife, stays at home to renovate the house and care for her remaining two children: a twin daughter and baby boy; while Matt – the husband, finds any work he can. When Mother and daughter begin to hear voices and see visions of a deranged woman and child ghost, remarkably similar to the deceased sibling, reality becomes skewed. After doubting her own sense of Self, Madeline succumbs to the house’s nostalgia for the past. She dresses like the woman she sees, redecorates the house to fit former times, and adopts shocking new aversions towards her remaining daughter. As her insanity grows, we wonder if history will repeat itself and she will be left with just a son.
The traditional creative process does not take advantage of the amount of information available today. Anyone can create something but, when trying to create good content for a large audience, the process is fundamentally flawed. Without information to see the full picture, It is hard to know what everyone wants and this is why we see 87% of films in the box officefail to break even.
We see this as a huge problem that can be solved using machine learning technology available today.
However, it is not as easy as it seems.
Today’s A.I. is very good at recognizing patterns in a large dataset, but it is hard for A.I. to be “creative” enough to create good content. The fully A.I. written short film, Sunspring, is the perfect example where the A.I. failed to recognize deeper plot logic causing it to not make any sense.
On the other hand, human creatives are fully aware of this deep plot logic but are very disconnected to the large datasets that A.I. is able to memorize and extract information from.
Why not combine human creativity with the power of A.I.?
This is exactly what we did. As we strongly believe that human creatives are IRREPLACEABLE in the creative process and machines can better inform human creatives what type of content audiences demand. This way, we can create original content with the full picture of what people want to see and even where to find these people, so they will become our audience.
We believe this is the future of how movies should be made, and we want you to be part of this revolution with us!
For the last five years we have spent our time developing an A.I. that can breakdown movie plots and connect these plot points to audience taste.
We use something called Natural Language Processing (NLP) to do that. By training our A.I. on thousands of plot summaries and correlating movies to their box office performance, we’ve developed an A.I. that is smart enough to recognize the correct plot patterns that map successful movie box office performance.
We ran extensive real time tests on our A.I., including testing it on a virtual exchange calledHollywood Stock Exchange (HSX). We began with $2M in virtual money and traded on movie “stocks”. Our portfolio grew to $22M (+1000%) in a short test time frame.
Even though our A.I. can recognize and generate plot combinations that feed right into audience demands, there still exists another problem. Creatives are not usually mathematically oriented enough to understand our output, and with all the questions in their head asking how and why they are creating what, it is hard for them to reach their full potential and create killer content.
Therefore, we developed a graphical user interface (GUI) that connects straight to the insights generated from our back-end A.I., but presents it in the way that anyone without any mathematical background can understand.
For those who are interested in our software, we will be talking about it in detail in our future updates, so stay tuned!
First, our A.I. generated the premise and the essential plot points for our film. It is very much like genes in genetic engineering. Then we had our creative team take these plot combinations and try to “grow” a story around it.
During the creative process, we would constantly check back with our A.I. to see if we are on the right track. Finally, using the audience information from our A.I. software, we were able to gettargeted feedback from our film’s true audience.

Behind the Scene and Sneak Peak
Our A.I. software is already up and running, we even used it to generate our original story. Our script is complete and we are in talks with several selected directors and their cast roster to go into production. We need your help to make this film a reality!
Additionally, using the available resources we have now, we made a teaser trailer and released it on Facebook, targeting the audience demographics suggested by our A.I. software.
In two short months, our teaser trailer was able to get 200K+ views with very positive engaging audiences sharing and commenting. Our Facebook page also managed to attract 20K+ fans.

Feature film in its nature is a risky venture. The hardest part for any indie film to be seen is always distribution and finding its right audience. Given that we already have 20K followers on social media, with our team’s combined 30+ years experience, we are confident in saying that this film will be seen by many.
We are certain that being the first A.I. co-written feature film, Impossible Things will have a unique place in history.
