Cynthia’s story

I am honest and sincere. I want to positively affect people; committed to environmental and social progress; I believe that one person can make a huge difference in the community. I rely on partnerships to motivate and uplift. On a lighter note…I am eccentric, creative and very self-motivated! I love to toss around abstract ideas and share them with my friends. I tend to philosophize a great deal and am a bit forthright. I am at the same time completely hilarious. Some people don’t understand my humor. I am witty one moment and completely goofy the next. I will do anything on a dare and love to press my limits on every level! I live for my experience and am always trying to learn new things. I am a healer and a teacher and I love to be taught new things. I forgive easily and am very compassionate. I always give people the benefit of the doubt, but always listen to my gut! I am very intuitive, psychic and rely on my spirituality and spiritual teachers to get me through the hard times. Do not have a problem asking for help and I don’t hesitate to offer it either. I try to surround myself with healthy and happy people! I love crushes and first kisses! I have a million and one ways to make a million and one dollars. I am a hopeless romantic and I believe in happier and happier ever after!

More about this loan

Business Description

I am a social entrepreneur working with several organizations to use vacant lots in Kansas City to grow food and community. I am a co-leader of a task force that is authoring a toolkit for the city to assign new value to vacant lots based on potential use. We are planning on setting up a Mother Garden in each neighborhood in more blighted areas of the urban core with amenities to serve the neighborhood, for example, a plant inventory, Greenhouse, Shed, Tools, Picnic Tables, Outdoor classrooms, Tools and Mentors. My goal is to revitalize these neighborhoods through education, outreach & demonstration.

What is the purpose of this loan?

This loan will help me grow my business because without it I cannot move forward on this project to develop the potential i see in these blighted communities.
