About this project

I’ve been taking pictures about a year for free or some small paymet. I finally decided to take this business venture to the next level. Losing my job March this year i deciced i would drive fulltime for LYFT. On May 15 while taking the rides home we stopped a gas station to get snacks. Long story short I left my car unlocked and they drove off in my car. Come to find out they were planning this all along, the address was fictitious. Yeah, I’m alive!

I am trying to purchase more equipment, dba, backdrops, lighting, camera flash, and etc. I’m going to set up at a friends who has empty rooms in her fitness studio that I can use to get started. Over the past year, I’ve been really busy taking pictures and video snippets of church events, a couple of weddings, family reunions, headshots, family photos and more. I have people who give me small amonuts of money,  but nothing over $100. I normally deliver around 200 plus pictures, a flash drive, or an upload, and 2-3 20 minute videos.The job market is scarace so I’m creating a position that I love. I know there are a lot of people getting into this field and I’m ready. Last year I did 13 different events. The attached photo is a mother daughter shot that was so precious and of course I have permission. 

With the Snippety Snappety You brand, it’s unique, it’s fun, and I’m going to be a snipping and a snapping making memories that will last a lifetime.

Risks and challenges

The biggest business challenge might be where the people will come from and will they be consistent? I have a sales background and some marketing, I also have a creative mind therfore; I have a plethora of avenues to get people to come. It’s like raising a baby you want it to grow so you stick with it even when they don’t want to do right. You have to keep putting ideas into their heads to help them along the way. That’s what I’m doing putting fresh and new ideas to keep the people coming, and of course throw in something for referrals and repeat customers.
