Wine Management Systems
I grew up in Speedway Indiana – just a few blocks from the Indy 500 Motor Speedway. I went to college in Indianapolis, IN. After college I stayed in Indiana and worked for various technology companies until I moved to California in 1982. I took a job as CIO of a poster and greeting card company and was promoted to VP of Technology. I was there 25 years. A VC firm took over the company and within 2 years the company was shut down. This was tragic for over 200 employees as well as myself. It was a great place to work and was a great company until we were sold. After the company’s demise, the founder of that company provided the funding to start Wine Management Systems. We now have over 120 wineries using our software system.

More about this loan
We offer a Cloud Based Wine Production System and a Wine Club System. We started the business in 2007 and have over 120 winery customers. We decided to start this business because we saw a need in the marketplace for wineries to keep track of their wine production with an inexpensive and easy to use Cloud Based system. Our biggest challenges are how to grow the business quickly and cash flow because we sell our system on the SaaS model and usually get a monthly fee instead of a one-time purchase. Our customers are basically medium sized wineries all over the U.S. Some of our current customers are: Alpha Omega, Patz & Hall, Bedrock, Shadybrook, and Goosecross – to name a few. We want to expand our offering to the Craft Beer and Craft Distillery Markets because the space is so hot right now and there is a real need for what we offer. We are most proud of the way we take care of our customers. Our customer support is excellent.
What is the purpose of this loan?
By taking our existing Wine Production System to the booming Craft Beer and Craft Distillery markets we will greatly expand our business. We will use this loan for marketing and attending the appropriate trade shows for these markets. This will help us get more market share into all of our channels.
