In this ever changing social media based world, everything is always “what celebrity is doing this, what Pokemon is where, who is dating who, what disaster is happing now”, and it is all just a bit overwhelming and to be quite honest, depressing.
Our idea is centered around creating a simple, user friendly app designed solely around sharing your adventures and encouraging people to get out and see the world. Whether you are a world traveler, sharing your adventures in South East Asia, or the casual hiker who wants to share your favorite local trail, this app will be for you.
The name, and final functionality are a moving target, but what we can promise is a fun, interactive, relaxing and uplifting user experience. The definite functions are:
Our Process if Funded:
1. Functionality Layout
Invest a lot of time into going through all the details and find the right people who can translate Programmer to Civilian and vice versa.
Go through every single screen and understand how all parts of the app interact with each other to ensure a great user experience.
2. Design
Once the functionality and user experience is PERFECT, we will focus on the design.
We are working with best in class designers to come up with a great look, comfortable feel, and a fun experience.
3. TEST, TEST, AND RE-TEST.
4. Going Live- Once funded, we hope to be live just 6 months later.
We will start by submitting our app to the iTunes and Android stores – icons, descriptions, etc. Once live, we will market our app to build its user base.
Risks and Challenges:
-Competition: We recognize that their is a great deal of social media competition in the market place and we need to differentiate ourselves. By create a unique user experience centered on a particular life style, we hope to capture users. We are not centered on taking users away from current platforms, we hope to be an addition to those platforms.
-User Base: As our app will be user based, we need to make sure that our marketing plan is centered around the types of users we hope to capture, “the adventurer”. We will team up with outdoor sporting good manufactures and encourage them to promote our app in exchange for non intrusive ad space in our ap.
-Final Execution: We know we MUST deliver a user experience that is simple, friendly and fun. We hope to accomplish this through extensive testing, re-testing, followed by more testing.
