Phally Group’s story

Phally, 37, is married and lives with four school-aged children in the Kampong Cham Province, Cambodia. She and her husband have been working as rice farmers to support her family’s income since 1997. Both of them typically makes about US$ 6 each day.

Phally, pictured first from the right, is the group leader. She is asking for a loan with a group of six members. She will use her share to purchase fertilizer for the farm, increasing her current profits and prospects for the future. She plans to expand her farmland and suppport her children to earn a higher education.
