12 Pittsburgh artists. 12 styles of storytelling. 140+ pages of memories, mystery, and fun from the forests of western PA.
About this project
12 unique voices. 12 stories of trees, beasts, life, and change.
The forest is wild, free, and sometimes perilous. Overgrowth and Underbrush captures the mysterious, peaceful, and savage faces that the forest shows. For this collection of stories, I’ve brought together a team of twelve artists currently living in Pittsburgh, all intimately familiar with the quirks and creatures of the forest. Together, they extend an invitation to you: discover what hides in the overgrowth. Find out what is watching from the underbrush.
Enter the forest, if you dare.

Risks and challenges
I’ve had the benefit of self-publishing 5 books, black and white and color. For this project I’ll be using the same printer I’ve used for the past 3 years, who I’ve always found to be careful, reliable, and timely.
In fact, a test run of 100 books has already been printed, and every copy came out beautifully!
