My first professional experience as a Theatre Arts graduate was as the Drama Coordinator for a youth program in my hometown. I established a youth drama club that used drama, music and dance to promote adolescent and family health. However, funding soon dried up and the program was discontinued. This fueled my interest in exploring social entrepreneurship to create a steady stream of funding that can support non-profits working with children across the continent of Africa and beyond. As a TV/film producer, I have created a platform to accomplish this goal in a sustainable way on an annual basis.
