In a retail environment that values “Price” over anything else, retailers have started going “Direct to Factory” to save the most money and intern add the greatest margin to their offerings. Most stores have their own “Private Labels” (i.e. Macy’s “INC”, or Costco’s “Kirkland”). They internally decide on a product to offer and then source production to execute it for them. I’m in essence acting as a Broker between the Private Label Division of a store and the Overseas manufacturer who is producing goods for them.
This campaign is a Private Label project for the Sweater Division at Buckle Inc (NYSE:BKE). Garment Manufacturers require a 50% deposit upfront as well as the balance after the goods have been shipped. The Buckle pays Net 30, after the goods have been received. I expect this campaign to be paid off in 4 months or approx. 11/29.
