Help us take our recordings from Mile High Blues and turn them into a finished CD that you can enjoy every time you’re craving blues.
About this project
Joe Smith & The Spicy Pickles recorded the audio during their performance at Mile High Blues on June 26th, 2016, and we’d love to turn it into a full length live album. If you attended Mile High Blues, this is the perfect opportunity for you to take a piece of the experience home with you!
If you didn’t have a chance to attend Mile High Blues, check out the Project Video which was captured during our performance at Mile High Blues. The music featured during Mile High Blues was classic blues in the vein of Duke Ellington, Sidney Bechet, Mezz Mezzrow, and more! All of it was arranged with blues dancers in mind.
While we have the audio recorded, we are still a long ways from a finished product. The music need to be mixed, mastered, and replicated. This is what we need your help with! The $1,000 goal will help us through the mixing and mastering process, and will help make the album available digitally. If we can hit a stretch goal of $2,000, we will also create physical copies of the album as well.
Risks and challenges
If we don’t reach our goal, then we are unsure if an album will be produced from this recorded music.
If we reach the funding goal there are are still challenges. Scheduling may delay production of the album, depending on availability of mixing and mastering engineers, and artwork design.
