Archived: Crowd Cook make premium ‘ready meals’ for busy people, on a family farm in Somerset.

iCrowdNewswire - Jul 8, 2016

Crowd Cook make premium ‘ready meals’ for busy people, on a family farm in Somerset. With an experienced team including a Michelin starred Head Chef and an award-winning farmer, the Business is now raising to complete a full commercial kitchen, and establish online sales channels.

Crowd Cook is a crowd sourced food company that operates in the fast growth, ready meal sector. We’re based on a family farm in Somerset and produce premium ‘ready meals’ using recipes licensed from well known local restaurants and popular food bloggers. The first Chef to partner with Crowd Cook is Josh Eggleton, one of the UK’s youngest Michelin starred Chefs. He also appears regularly on the BBC’s ‘Great British Menu’.

In 2014 alone, UK consumers spent £3.1bn on chilled and frozen ready meals, with the ‘premium’ end of the market growing at 5.1% a year. But consumers looking for convenient meals, often have to compromise and accept factory-produced food designed for maximising shelf-life, rather than taste and health. By contrast, Crowd Cook meals are made in small batches, just like you would do at home using fresh, local ingredients, without additives or preservatives.

So our recipe for success is simple:

For Chefs, we create a new revenue stream and extend their brand to a much wider audience.

For consumers, Crowd Cook means easy to cook, delicious meals designed by Chefs at local restaurants they already know and love.

And finally, UK retailers can sell an innovative new local brand to local consumers.
