I am originally from Chicago Illinois, born and raised, and I have also lived in the beautiful city of Daytona Beach Florida, where I attended undergrad. Growing up in Chicago, the presence of violence, gang activity, and drugs were throughout the inner city where I grew up, but haircutting and the field of barbering saved my life. I attended Westinghouse Career Academy, a vocational high school, and Barbering was my major area of study. February before I graduated high school, at the age of 17, I became a licensed professional barber! I was also blessed to attended Bethune Cookman University on a full tuition academic scholarship, and received a Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Administration/Management. I am currently a master barber and educator as I attended the world known “Dudley’s Beauty School” of Dudley’s Products, for my Master Barber-Instructor Training Certification. I am currently in the process of starting my own barber college business! I have already located a storefront and have received the approval from the Ohio State Barber Board to operate and open my educational facility as a private barber school. I am currently in the process of raising start-up capital to make this dream come true!
As a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Incorporated, my dream is to also utilize my business to give back to the world: therefore, we have community programs in place, donating free and discounted services as a means to give back ( i.e shelters, retirement communities, mentor programs). My dream for the future of my business is to build a global brand similar to the Paul Mitchell’s of the hair world, as well as, establishing a reputation for taking care of the community and giving back. I would like to see a “BC Squared” in every city, state, and country, and have a meaningful and purposeful way to contribute to the evolution of the field of Barbering
