Steel City 412 are 12 dedicated boys training hard to represent their hometown of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania this summer at the week-long American Youth Baseball Hall of Fame Invitational Tournament in historic Cooperstown, New York.
For five years, these boys have built a tradition of excellence, sportsmanship and comradery as competitors in 14th Ward Baseball, and summer tournament play. They are citizens and leaders – on the field, in school and in life.
The Cooperstown experience – high caliber play, prestige and interaction with teams from all 50 states – provides players an unparalleled sense of pride, dignity and accomplishment. For many of these boys, it will be their crowning youth athletic experience.
The total cost to the team and their coaches for this experience – dormitory boarding, meals, uniforms, etc. – is over $15,000.
Anything you can chip in toward this cost will help show these boys that their commitment to their team, sport and community is appreciated.
