iversity is a cloud-native learning management system (LMS). A blend of a social network & an online workspace for faculty & students.
iversity is the collaboration network for academia – a digital infrastructure for universities in the 21st century. iversity offers students & faculty a unique set of tools for academic collaboration (e.g. live PDF-annotation, customized print-on-demand, collaboration across institutional boundaries). We approach the LMS-market bottom up, because we believe that once we have a critical mass of happy users, universities will begin to convert.
Jonas is a co-founder of iversity and its current Managing Director. He iversity’s sales efforts working closely with our academic partners. He studied Cultural Studies at Humboldt-Universität and Comparative Literature and Theatre Studies at Freie Universität Berlin. During his studies, Jonas secured iversity’s seed funding (including EXIST) from the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology and the EU.
Hannes is iversity’s Managing Director and CMO. He holds an MPA from Columbia University and the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin and a B.A. in International Relations from TU Dresden. Hannes is about to publish a book on the university in the digital age. He heads iversity’s marketing and PR efforts and is active in business development and the acquisition of partner institutions.
Simon is iversity’s Chief Operating Officer. Before joining iversity he served as an analyst at the Illuminate Consulting Group, a Silicon Valley-based science and research strategy consulting firm. Simon holds a Master of Public Policy from the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin and attended Universität Bielefeld, Indiana State University and the National University of Singapore. He in charge of iversity’s business processes.
Thomas serves as iversity’s Chief Technology Officer. A graduate in Computer Science from TU Berlin Thomas was actively involved in shaping university policy as member of the faculty council. From 2003 to 2010, he was a member of the Berlin-based Company Consulting Team, where he served as an IT product manager. Thomas has more than twelve years of experience in web development as an independent consultant and entrepreneur.
