Somesuch Theatre need your support to take their new play ‘Remember Me: Horatio’s Hamlet’ to this year’s Edinburgh Fringe.
Somesuch Theatre are very excited to be taking their new play “Remember Me: Horatio’s Hamlet” to this year’s Edinburgh Fringe. We need your help to make this happen so that we can cover production, venue and accomodation costs and also put on a preview in Birmingham. In return we have some great rewards.
Somesuch have been producing plays inspired by Shakespeare for over ten years and for his 400th Anniversary we wanted to do something special. We’re looking forward to forging links with new companies, producers and venues during our run at the Fringe, as well as putting on a great show.
So, what is our new show all about?
A cast of two. A stage full of characters. A suitcase full of mysteries. All attempting to answer one of theatre’s greatest questions: who exactly was Hamlet? A grieving Horatio tries to unlock the mystery of his friend’s death by hiring an actor to tell his story. Haunting and hilarious by turns, a man and a woman explore the pivotal scenes from Hamlet attempting to unlock his complexities, his secrets and his heart. As always with Hamlet, every answer brings more questions. But the beauty of the heart is what remains.
Starring Edmund Caird and Lorna Meehan
Written and directed by Tom Davis and Deirdre Burton
The show is running during the Fringe from the 15th to the 27th August at Greenside, Nicolson Square in the Lime Studio from 5.15pm to 6.15pm every day except Sunday the 21st.
The preview will be on the 7th August at the Kitchen Garden Cafe in Kings Heath, 6.30pm and 8.30pm.
Any support you give us, be it financial or promotional would be much appreciated and we hope you can make it to the preview.
Somesuch create stories to make you laugh, cry and delight in the unexpected.
