APPS4ARTS
Apps4Arts brings digital festival promotion within the reach of even the smallest event. Organisers can now self-publish sophisticated interactive guides from their desktops.
Pre-money Valuation £690,000
Apps4Arts is a self-publishing platform for mobile event guides, turning the once paper‐driven medium of festival programming into a cleanly-designed app.
The UK Festival and cultural events industry is worth £1.1billion comprising c.5000 annual arts festivals. But although 72% acknowledge the major positive impact of digital technology on marketing & distribution, only 8% of festivals have a smartphone guide.
And when compared to their larger, richer counterparts, it is the smaller events that are missing out, with the biggest barriers to digital being time and money.
By passing the benefits of ‘re-skinnable’ code direct to the consumer, Apps4Arts makes mobile publishing both more affordable and easier. Client feedback agrees that our platform’s interface ‘intuitively directs users through the process of uploading timetable, collaborator & venue information’.
And not only is digital more commercially effective than print, it also generates less paper waste.
In 2015, we received £10k investment. We used that to fully test both native apps and evolve the platform, directly responding to live clients. Some of the leading UK’s art festivals have registered. We were 8th in Bristol 24/7’s Top Apps of 2015, described as ‘a potential game-changer for event organisers’.
Digital publishing is a powerful marketing tool that can unite communities and boost local economies. We want to make it available to everyone!
