Piranha Tank is a grassroots movement that identifies opportunities to invest in local businesses. We create a local “net”work for entrepreneurs needing high quality investment capital and put them in front of local investors to grow local economies.
We are the producers of The Piranha Tank Show. Our show is inspired from other investment competitions and live pitching events. Although the hit ABC television show Shark Tank TM also gives entrepreneurs a chance to pitch and receive funding, we are fundamentally different.
The Piranha Tank is a grassroots movement that identifies investments in innovative, cross-industry solutions to real problems. We promote investment in businesses that benefit profit, people, and planet across all sectors. We are passionate about truly sustainable businesses and profits.
We create a local “net”work so that small businesses don’t need to swim to Silicon Valley to capture high quality investment capital. We put local entrepreneurs and small businesses in front of local investors to grow local economies. It’s all about sourcing great investments within a local region and bringing benefits to that region. We provide a community of investors and entrepreneurs with “friends in other tanks” to expand their geographic relationships.
We take “school” seriously. A core to our mission is education. We educate entrepreneurs about the pitch process & what’s involved. We educate investors – new and old – on investment vehicles, evaluating investments, and compliance. We have established an advisory service to aid new investors & provide “back office” solutions to minimize their efforts on fund management & ensure that they don’t bite more than they can chew. And we engage with entrepreneurs that have made a successful exit to transition into successful investors.

Professional who brings over 20 years of program development to Piranha Branding. Her hands on experience spans a variety of industries, across government agencies and private clients assisting with compliance and due diligence for mergers and acquisitions.
Her program experience is diverse, having supported multiple government agencies and private clients in the development, implementation, auditing, and updating of their programs. Christy’s favorite part of entrepreneurship is the team environment, collaborating and providing guidance as the work unfolds and new challenges arise; deploying solutions that provide immediate results.

While on Wall Street, Lorette assisted business owners in raising millions of dollars. With over 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry as an Investment Banker, M&A Specialist & Business Brokerage Principal.
Lorette’s unique background qualifies her to assist business owners in their start-up through exit strategy planning and execution. With capital being the main ingredient needed every step of the way, she has mastered the New Capital Market, somewhat created by the JOBS Act of 2012 which levels the playing field for businesses to take control of funding resources in a disruptive fashion to perceives norms. Assisting both entrepreneurs and sprouting angels in their pursuit of raising capital compliantly.
Her relevant experience includes that of a former Investment Bank CEO, who managed 7 offices with 300+ employees, overseeing syndication, due diligence, deal structuring, & underwriting contracts for private placements, IPO’s & secondary offerings.

David L. Mortimer, CPA, has a BA in economics from University of Maryland, College Park, and has been a CPA since 1994.
His specialty areas include taxes, stock options, settlements, estate planning, and consulting and compliance matters for corporations small and large. David Mortimer will also work with clients in CFO or controller advisory capacities.
David L. Mortimer, CPA, has over twenty years of experience in tax planning, research and compliance. This experience includes developing tax minimization strategies, planning business transactions, and tax audit representation. Industries served include high technology, professional services, pharmaceuticals, real estate, nonprofit, and high net worth individuals.
