Jorge is a 47 years old Costa Rican farmer that lives with his wife and 2 sons. Since he was a child has lived among cows and pastures in San Ramón de Alajuela, Costa Rica, a rural area with great views of the Pacific coast focused on agriculture and farming.
He owns a dairy where he feeds, takes care and milk his 20 cows to obtain the milk he needs to produce the cheese he sells to his neighbors in local businesses. He is very excited about building the biodigestor because he will not only save money from not having to use fossil fuels but also produce cheese in an eco-friendly way.
Jorge hopes the biodigestor will bring him multiple benefits to his farm and will improve his family´s quality of life. In order to implement the project he is asking for this loan. He will also invest in a roof to protect it and will encourage other farmers in his community to transform animals´ waste in a useful resource.
