Dutch ECM Activity in 2016 YTD Highest Since 2005

In 2016 so far, Dutch issuers have raised a total of $7.3bn via 14 transactions, the highest activity for the Netherlands since the same period in 2005 (17 deals raising $7.5bn). Dutch ECM in 2016 YTD accounts for 10% of total EMEA ECM volume ($72.7bn), the highest YTD share since 1995 (11%). NN Group’s $1.6bn accelerated offering, which priced on April 14, is the largest Dutch deal so far this year, and also the largest EMEA accelerated offering in 2016

Prices six deals

NXP Semiconductors prices six deals in 2016 YTD

On June 6, Blackstone sold a $1.3bn stake in NXP Semiconductors through an accelerated offering, via bookrunners Citi and Barclays, marking the fourth largest EMEA accelerated offering in 2016 YTD. In 2016, there have been six NXP Semiconductors selldowns by financial sponsors, making it the most active EMEA issuer so far this year and resulting in the most sale proceeds for any EMEA issuer this year ($3.1bn)

Down 51% in EMEA

$35.1bn EMEA accelerated offering volume down 51%

EMEA accelerated offering volume totals $35.1bn in 2016 so far, down 51% from $71.5bn in 2015 YTD and the lowest volume since the same period in 2012 ($26.9bn). Activity on the other hand has dropped only 24% year-on-year, from 226 deals in 2015 YTD to 172 deals in 2016 YTD
