Customer Problem
Three critical issues face the green building industry: inefficiently sourcing of energy, water and sustainable products, lack of product and manufacturer credibility, difficulties synthesizing product information/data. Time-consuming product research, competing sustainable product certification and rating systems, utility incentive programs, de-centralized procurement sources, incomplete and misinformation increase project risks, costs and lowers productivity for design and construction
professionals.
Why Third-Party Verification Matters – As the sustainable building movement gain increasing momentum, designers, specifiers, construction and procurement professionals are demanding greater transparency in product. Third-party verification provides the trust these professionals are seeking.
EcoSpex breaks through barriers to offer a solution that can reduce the risk, cost and time to sourcing proven energy efficient, water, healthy and sustainable products for building projects and keeps in tune with emerging technologies and evolving building standards. EcoSpex collects data from manufacturers on a wide breadth of product and company attributes, verifies and publishes trusted information to design and construction professionals.
EcoSpex charges the manufacture to have their product data verified (desktop audit) and publishes all data on an innovative platform. A quality assurance process was developed based upon international best practices to support a robust review.
Primary business line includes three levels of Manufacturers Listings: Basic, Standard and Verified Listings (VEL). VEL offers the most comprehensive, independently verified technical, specifications, alignment to rating programs, environmental product in a standardized format for easy and fast comparison. Utility LDC consultation (embedding incentive programs & linking them to technologies). EcoSpex has finalizing a new service (March 31st 2016) that supports the design & construction sector by providing LEEDV4 technical documents (toolkit), updated annually to help support project requirements on various building design stages.
