20-year-old Marcos is a farmer. He studied until the ninth grade, but for personal reasons he could not continue to go to school. He is married and has a baby with his wife who is now 1 year old, and they both struggle to have all of the things necessary for their home.
Marcos has worked in agriculture for many years. His father taught him this work. When he got married he realized that agriculture would not be enough to generate sufficient income to sustain the home, and for this reason he decided to make a living selling bread. Now he has made a living for 4 years in this work and his wife also helps with selling. They both wake up very early to go to sell and they leave their daughter with a neighbor to take care of her. In the winter they plant maize to sell and to eat.
Marcos really needs help from a loan to buy seed, fertilizer, pesticides, and to pay the rent for the land to grow maize.
Marco’s dream i to have his own land to work in farming and to give his family a better quality of life.
