Our clothes are designed in Santa Monica, manufactured with pride in Los Angeles and inspired by the beauty, diversity and uninhibited spirit of Southern California.
In addition, we retail a collection of the most in-demand fashion brands in the country, including For Love and Lemons, Jetset Diaries, Sundry, Nightcap and Jen’s Pirate Booty, many of which were founded by former employees of Planet Blue.
James Williams, CEO
Prior to joining Planet Blue, James was one of the nation’s pre-eminent apparel industry attorneys. He chaired Loeb & Loeb’s firm-wide Fashion and Luxury Brand practice group, overseeing corporate, intellectual property and litigation attorney in LA, New York and Chicago. Throughout his legal career James represented many of the nation’s most influential and successful fashion brands.
Ling-Su Chinn, Founder and Creative Director
Ling founded Planet Blue in 1995. As Creative Director, she oversees the design, buying and merchandising functions. Ling is widely-recognized as a fashion expert and has appeared on E! Television, as well as Women’s Wear Daily, Racked, Elle, and numerous other publications.
Katrina Basic, CFO
With a specialized background in consumer and retail finance, Katrina has spent her career helping to innovatively develop consumer-growth companies. Katrina’s past experience include holding senior level finance roles at 5.11 Tactical, Love Culture, Aqua Quip, iFLOOR, Zumiez and Unionbay Sportswear. Katrina served on the Board of Trustees for PCC Natural Markets as chair of the Finance Committee, acts as a board member for Washington Business Week and a member of the planning committee for the AICPA’s Women’s Global Leadership Conference. David Lindell, VP Retail
David has successfully lead US and international retail apparel operations to multi-million dollar revenue growth, while increasing productivity and reducing costs. He was the Executive Vice President of Stores and Operations for Armani Exchange for twelve years before making the move from New York City to sunny Los Angeles.
Dave Beveridge, VP E-Commerce
Dave brings more than a decade of success in digital marketing, brand, strategic partnerships, customer acquisition, and eComerece experience to Planet Blue. Prior to being tapped as Planet Blue’s VP of eCommerce, Dave served as ShoeDazzle’s SVP of Marketing and Product. Dave also served as Chief of Staff of Digital for thriving media company BermanBraun and lead marketing efforts for SportNet and Letstalk.com.
Jacinto Romero, VP Operations
Since joining the company in January 2004, Jacinto has held several positions within the company and maintains an integral role in the company. As Vice President of Operations, he is responsible for Planet Blue’s day-to-day operations, as well as leading new store openings and strategies for the company’s supply chain, inventory management, information systems, and e-commerce.
