After years of research, Mr. Patrick Deckers and Mr. Ruud Gransier developed a unique, evidence-based multidisciplinary sports and medical program which is scalable worldwide within regular and private care systems.

This leads to a renewed and innovative approach for athletes/patients, centralizing and actually integrating existing medical care (i.e. orthopedics, cardiology, hand/wrist surgery, general surgery, sports medicine, physical therapy, osteopathy, podotherapy, dietary programs, mental coaching and leisure).

The subject of the project is a three-stage launch of state-of-the-art, multi-disciplinary, sports medical centers with multiple sports medical satellite centers across The Netherlands, Euregion and Europe.

The medical center(s) offer(s) state-of-the-science (sports) medical care (e.g. orthopedics, cardiology, hand surgery, general surgery, sports medicine, physical therapy, osteopathy, podotherapy, etc.) for pro athletes, all amateur athletes as well as, recreational athletes. In other words: “All athletes are potential patients and all patients are potential athletes”.

 

Key Points:

The SPORTHO medical multidisciplinary care is paid by the healthcare insurance companies. Expansion of the SPORTHO medical centers automatically leads to more turnaround and more profit.

The expansion of the SPORTHO formula is a scalable cash cow. Because until now the formula has proven to attract athletes, top athletes to guarantee their top level performance with most efficient care, faster and more sustainable treatments, all outside the “regular hospital setting” in SPORTHO private health care clinics.

The current situation in the Netherlands on average, patients have to wait 4 to 12 weeks for their first intake, 6 to 12 weeks for diagnostics and 2 to 6 months for an operation.

To aid this ever-growing demand of health care, we initiated SPORTHO and we developed the 1-2-3 model aiding and providing for the level of quality and efficiency needed.

Within one week clients have their first intake, within two weeks we provide necessary diagnostics and if necessary an operation within 3 weeks.

This is done by centralizing all overhead, a multidisciplinary approach between all medical and para-medical specialists, cutting out all fragmentary management layers in regular health care.

This enables very fast communication, very little loss of information and high capacity to react very fast to changes in ongoing processes.

CUSTOMERS: ALL ATHLETES WITH DEMAND FOR SPORT

Our target customers include all type of athletes, of any level, any age and any type of sports, therefore one could argue we basically cover everyone. New market developments, initiated by the Government in the Netherlands, as well as the changing health care system, obligate University Hospitals to displace their current care, which for a substantial part involves non-complex medical care, with highly complex medical care only. This creates not only a huge potential for medical clinics in their periphery, but an actual necessity to take over this non-complex care in order to ensure sufficient medical care for these patients.

Furthermore, in The Netherlands there is no actual multidisciplinary integrative health care. Health care services are scattered and interdisciplinary communication is mostly based upon obliterate overhead. Health care centers primarily exist of professionals uniting in order to share rent and other costs. This leads to cumulative waiting lists and an ever growing pressure on the Health care system.
