Moving from the familiar into the unknown can be a very daunting and uncomfortable journey. Fear of what’s next and what you’ll leave behind is a very real thing. Having to entrust your dreams and loved ones into the hands of God is difficult at times…
But when He calls you to that task, you can do nothing but say, “YES!”
My YES is taking me from the Philippines to Africa this year. Though it’s been on my heart to go to the Harvest Missions School (with Heidi & Rolland Baker – Iris Global) in Mozambique for years, this was the year God gave me the confirmation to GO! It’s a bit surprising and seemingly quick, but when God opens the doors, you obey.

After serving in the Philippines for nearly 5 years now, it is a bittersweet transition but one I’m confident is in God’s perfect timing. I look forward to a refreshing time of learning and being poured into by the teachers and ministers who lead the school sessions. I welcome the time of following, of gleening, of growing.
After the 10 weeks of training in Africa, I have the opportunity to go to the Middle East with a very small team to work in a community there. It just so happens, I also have great friends living and serving in this particular area as well. God is stirring my heart for this crisis and for the precious lives caught in the middle. I am really expectant for what God wants to do in this new land. Many lives just hungry for hope… The Hope!
Though this may seem scary, I feel compelled to remind each of us that…
Wherever God calls us, THAT is the safest place for us to be.
I look forward to seeing the glory and wonder of our Abba Father in the places and faces He will lead me to this year, and to impart the the deep things of His heart that He is teaching me constantly. But I need you. I need your support, encouragement and faith backing me in this. This is very new terrain for me, but I welcome the adventure with Him. :)
Practically speaking, I am needing to raise $7,500 by April 20th (that’s less than 1 month!)for the following: I need airfare from the Philippines to Africa to the Middle East and then back to the Philippines. I need visas for each of these places as well. Tuition for the school alone is $3,200 and will not include all the needs that arise while there for over 2 months. (There are books and other gear for life in Africa I’ll need to purchase.) The costs for the extended work in the M.E. is $1,500. So as you can see the total of $7,500 seems large, but these expenses add up quickly. For me, no amount can compare to the work God wants to do!
My “Yes” will not waiver, but I realize I cannot do this alone. I know that Jesus wants a community of people to take part in the inheritance of the nations.
Would you send me on your behalf?
Will you partner with me to see Truth taken to new nations and unreached parts of this world?
I hope you will. :)
