Tennis | Our journey to SUCCESS

Denis and Michael Durojaiye

Hello everyone. Thank you for taking your time looking at  our campaign page.

We are Denis and Michael Durojaiye, 11 and 10 years of age. Me, Denis, is currently training with the regional squad (called Leinster), and Michael is training with National mini futures squad in Ireland. We would like to continue training with the squads because we want to rise through the ranks and one day play for Ireland.

We are happy to say that last year we were selected to train with the National Tennis Squad and the Leinster Tennis Squad after the talent search, held at the National Tennis Centre in Dublin.

It was a big success for us and, since the beginning of the term, we have improved technically, tactically, and physically.

We worked hard in every training session to continue to improve and it has been a great year so far.

We hope to continue to train in the squads and ask for your support to continue with our current path. Any amount is very much appreciated as every little help counts.

What our Coaches say:

Denis and Michael are two of Carlow’s finest young athletes. Both are exceptionally talented and hardworking tennis players with unbelievable potential.

It is vital for their continued development that they train hard in Carlow, but also attend training with both the Leinster and National tennis squads in Dublin, where they are surrounded by other talented  young players.

We are lucky to have these two fine players in Carlow. Please support them in their journey to become the best – Brian Farrell (Director of Tennis, Carlow  Lawn Tennis Club)

Michael is one of the top tennis players in Ireland in his age group. He has shown great improvement in all areas of his game since joining the National tennis squad in 2015.

Michael works very hard in every session and I can see he really loves tennis. He has very good potential to be top player if he continues on his current path – Lazo Kukhalashvili (Head Coach National Mini Futures Squad, National Tennis Centre DCU)
