Sustainable activewear, made in America. 10% of each purchase goes to a cause.
About this project
*Note: All funds raised via Kickstarter are allocated to costs of production, per Kickstarter rules. After the campaign, all orders will help fund a cause.
In running, like in life, the idea is to keep moving forward. Brands are making an impact in other areas. Shoes. Eyeglasses. Why not activewear? Is there a way to produce running gear in America, that makes less of an environmental impact – without breaking the bank? And can we do it all while also doing some good for the world?
By pledging to support Cause I Run, you can help us answer ‘YES’ to these questions! Though we’re starting small, with a couple of versatile, 3-season staple pieces, we believe we’ll make a big difference in the long run.
We’ve researched and tested materials, found a production facility in Massachusetts, and are all set and ready to hit the start button. But we need you to make that happen: We need to raise enough money to cover the costs of our fabrics, packaging, and labor costs to makeCause I Run a reality.

From the founder:
After our Kickstarter campaign, we’ll launch our ecommerce store, where each purchase will include a built-in 10% donation to one of our charity partners. You’ll get to choose which of the three organizations your purchase will benefit.
Because we value sustainability, we’re choosing charities that make a lasting impact. We know there are many charities and nonprofits making an incredible difference for people around the world.
That said, we’re focusing our impact in one area to start: Giving to organizations that benefit women and girls around the world. A cause close to my heart for my entire life, I believe that when women are able to succeed, the entire world is better off.
In the future, we’ll develop a process to expand our impact to other areas, and we plan to bring you in on this. After all, we want to help you answer the question: “what moves you?”
THANK YOU! We cannot do this without you, and your support means everything! -Amanda

Risks and challenges
Starting a business is a marathon, not a sprint, and getting it right takes time. I’ve run and sweat and tested these pieces – but I am a first-time designer, so there is some risk involved. I’m hoping you’ll take the first step with me, with the understanding that these products will get better and better over time.
I’ve spent months sourcing fabric, working with a pattern maker and finding the right production facility. I am confident in my production partners and suppliers, and believe that my entire supply chain is reliable; however, with any new venture, there is a risk that some unforeseen issue could arise. If obstacles do present themselves, I promise to remain open and transparent and do whatever I can to minimize any delays in production.
