A project by: MA FineArt
Our exhibition in August celebrates fine art at the university and the city. We have secured a wonderful location at Action Stations within the Historic Dockyard at Portsmouth where the public will be able to see our exhibition for free for two weeks in August 2016.
We feel it is important to promote art in the city and want to make this exhibition as good as it can be.
Being a donor will help promote the arts in Portsmouth.
Putting on an exhibition in a historic location is complex and funds raised will go towards our budget:
Our art is diverse, taking in most genres and covering topics such as liminality, mindfulness, memory, doodling, anxiety, cross dressing and colour – find out more on our Tumblr blog.
There are seven of us, six students of differing ages and nationalities and our tutor who we have invited to join us in exhibiting, as it is the last fine art exhibition at the university.
Each contribution will help us put on the best exhibition possible and promote the arts in Portsmouth, as without additional funds, our printing, marketing and hospitality will have to be minimised. And of course you get the chance to be thanked in our catalogue, attend an exclusive Private View before the opening and win a piece of art by one of us.
We tweet and blog regularly so follow us for updates.
You don’t need to give money to help us succeed. Please share this project with anyone you think would support us – on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, by email, telephone, in a chat over the fence or on your blog.
In fact, share it with everyone you know as we are really excited about this and the more people who know about it, the more likely we are to make it a success.
And whilst you don’t need to give money, we’d love it if you did! Please sponsor us and help make this happen.
