My students need a classroom library organizing cart, book bins, write & wipe pockets, a pocket chart and a junction box.
Our classroom is a welcoming learning environment where we work together to achieve our academic and social goals. In first grade our biggest goal is to become fluent readers. To become a fluent reader students need to read books that are a “good fit” or on their level so they can feel successful.
My classroom is a unique group of students coming from different ethnic backgrounds as well as socioeconomic status.
We are a Title I school, meaning we have a low socioeconomic population. The students in my classroom want to work hard to achieve all of their goals and we do so as a group cheering each other on.
By helping me purchase these materials, including a classroom library organizing cart, book bins, write & wipe pockets, a pocket chart and a junction box, you will be helping my students in many ways. The library cart with book bins will be used to organize and level my classroom library. This will make it easy for students to get books to read in class and take home that they are able to read. You will also help my students organize their materials. It is much easier to work hard and stay focused when things are organized.
By funding this project you will enable us to organize our materials which will allow my current and future students to focus their attention on being the best learner they can be.
