A loan of $10,000 helps me to hire someone to help run the business side so I can focus on working with clients
I am a researcher and data strategist by trade and have spent the last 10 years working for government, educational institutions and non-profits helping them tell the story of their work. Because of that I’ve seen some really tough things, and I’m proud of the time I spent working with foster kids, in gang reduction, and helping homeless services agencies. I know firsthand how important it is to use research as a way to witness and to tell the story of the good work being done in my community. Evaluation services are key component to bridge the gap between data and anecdote and help create a powerful story for non-profits to make their case. I’m a better researcher and entrepreneur for having spent so much time with the communities I’m trying to help, so I know the importance of supporting non profits and organizations that are doing specific work in the communities in which they work. My dream is simple. I’m an idealist and I want to live and work up to my own potential to create positive social change by supporting organizations measure their outcomes and achieve their missions. I started Mockingbird Analytics because I wanted to help more organizations, especially small and new non-profits, access research and evaluation services that would otherwise be out of reach in terms of capacity and budget.
Mockingbird Analytics is a research and evaluation service for small and new non-profits to help them tell the story of good work they’re doing. For many non-profits, grants and foundations are a huge part of the way they pay their expenses; however, many funders require rigorous evaluation of the non-profit’s work in order to prove that their services are creating an effective, positive impact on the people they serve. I started Mockingbird Analytics because I wanted to help more organizations, especially small and new non-profits, access research and evaluation services that would otherwise be out of reach in terms of staff capacity and budget.
