Supporting the Montclair Township Animal Shelter Post-Fire
From Karen Sacks
The Montclair Animal Shelter which suffered a devastating fire on April 3, 2016. Funds will support the animals displaced by the fire and a remodel of the shelter to ensure the wellbeing and safety of our animals.
The Montclair Township Animal Shelter recently experienced a devastating fire that caused serious building damage and the evacuation of all of the animals in our care. Due to the heroics of staff and volunteers, all animals were evacuated and sent out for fostering at gracious residents’ homes and to our amazing area shelter partners. The Friends of the Montclair Township Animal Shelter (FOMTAS) was already planning a remodel of the building due to the age and condition of the building but now our plans need to be expedited! FOMTAS is in immediate need of funds for emergent medical expenses, short term repairs so the animals and staff can return to the building, and then construction documents and funds for construction to ensure the safety and wellbeing of shelter residents. The shelter and FOMTAS and all of the deserving animals in our care would be so grateful! FOMTAS is a 501(c)(3) not for profit corporation and all donations are tax deductible!
