My students need 150 copies of this year’s summer reading book, “Gregor the Overlander”.
“You’re never alone when you’re reading a book.” ~ Susan Wiggs
About 75% of my students qualify for free or reduced lunch and cannot readily afford to buy their own copy of the book.
Some of my students’ parents work 2-3 jobs to take care of the bare necessities of everyday life. While their parents want the very best for them, this is not something they may be able to provide.
Through these books, students will learn that reading is meant to be fun! So often we “force” children to read over the summer. Instead, this high interest action-packed read will attract readers of all levels to want to read on their own (without being told to!). Please consider donating, especially if you are a fan of this book. Give these students a chance to escape their everyday lives and get wrapped up in something magical and adventurous!
By donating to this project you will help my students know the joy of owning their very own copy of this novel, “Gregor the Overlander”.
