My students need a timing clock for cross country practices.
My student athletes need a timing clock for cross country practices. We have a large team and it would help to have a clock that they can see instead of me yelling out their times from a stopwatch.
Last year our cross country team had almost 80 kids ranging from freshman to seniors from all different ethnicities and ability levels.
Our JV team is close to my heart because they try very hard. We encourage anyone who wants to run to come out and try cross country!
When we are outside on the track the clock will be set up for workouts. For example, if we are doing mile repeats and have 3 staggered groups, the kids can keep track of their splits and their final mile time. If they are doing 8x400s they will know their 400 time every time accurately. The clock is a great training aid.
Having a timing clock at practice will make a difference to the team because we will be able to run several ability groups at once without having several stopwatches and timers.
With one clock, everyone can run and know their time. Practices will run more efficiently.
