Sponsored by the University of Sunderland, Hitachi Rail Europe and Gestamp Tallent Automotive, the new £10m South Durham UTC, based at Newton Aycliffe Business Park, will specialise in Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering helping to plug a worrying skills gap in this sector and make a significant contribution to the region’s economic development.
