Let's fight dehydration in vulnerable patients

A simple affordable device to assist fluid intake and reduce dehydration in hospital patients and other cared for individuals.

Every day in hospitals and in their own homes, elderly, vulnerable, disabled or frail people are at risk of suffering from dehydration.

Drinks are offered, but for many the simple act of lifting a cup to the lips, or even sucking fluid through a straw is difficult or impossible, even with carer assistance. As a result, they are prone to kidney injury, bladder infections, falls, confusion…the list goes on, and includes unnecessary death.

As medical professionals who see this problem daily, we have developed a cheap, simple device to make drinking easier, more comfortable and safer for this group people. We believe that this will be an effective, financially viable option that will help to reduce suffering and harm to some of the most vulnerable in out society.
