On average, people see their lock screen 120 times each day, without receiving any benefit.
Muse is changing that by connecting people with their favorite brands and tastemakers, right on their lock screen.
We aim to become the de facto standard for the lock screen.
Our goal is to ensure that in 5 years people will call the lock screen Muse like they call a taxi ride Uber.
Muse users access curated editorials from the world’s best tastamakers and canpurchase the specific products featured in those editorials – all straight from the lock screen.
Muse is an Android app that replaces the boring, static lock screen with a carousel of curated editorials from the world’s best tastemakers.
For the first time, you can purchase the items suggested by your favorite tastemakers – and straight from your lock screen.
On your lock screen: Discover amazing content directly on your lock screen through the Muse carousel. Save time and effort by letting Muse find the stories made for you.
Source your style: product discovery has never been so meaningful. Discover items featured by your favorite tastemakers in their own stories. Tap to purchase.
The best lifestyle stories and editorials: Muse collects high quality content from the world’s best lifestyle tastemakers and presents them to you in a visually enhanced format, right on your lock screen. No search. No remembering to search.
Fully personalized: you can follow Muse publishers, select channels and explore curated topics. Muse learns your tastes and your style, from just your interaction.
Muse applies Machine Learning (ML) algorithms to enable a highly curated user experience and innovative product discovery.
The app gathers data on the user’s natual interactions with the stories, and then showcase only the stories that the user is most likely to enjoy.
On Amazon there is a great recommendation algorithm based on products the user is already specifically looking at. Muse goes a step further and shows items based on the user’s entire browsing and shopping history. And, Muse can leverage more than 100 daily data points, making the recommendations much more curated.
Muse also applies a proprietary Data Architecture to transform content into buyable stories, where users can buy the items specifically featured in those stories. Muse takes care of everything: identifies the item, finds a trusted merchant to fulfill the order and manages payments for the user.
At Muse, we have already made progress in our quest to transform the lock screen and connect people with their favorite brands and tastemakers.

With this, we are working with more than 300 selected tastemakers and more than 1,800 retailers (including H&M, The North Face, and Barneys New York) to help users discover the best stories and products straight on the lock screen.
We want to take this success and expand our service to include more services, such as food delivery and ticket reservations. In the next 24 months we are going to position Muse to become the de-facto standard for the lock screen, so that in 5 years people will call the lock screen Muse like they call a taxi ride Uber.
