In October 2014, I released my second full-length album 27 on Black Mesa Records (US) and Hidden Trail Records (UK) to very positive reviews:
“27 is a solid album worth your time, attention, and money.” – No Depression
“All in all a tremendous album.” – Blabber ‘n’ Smoke
“M. Lockwood Porter’s 27 is one of the best records of the year. It’s an absolutely amazing collection of songs.” – Captains Dead
“Take care with M. Lockwood Porter. He is an important singer-songwriter” – Americana UK
About The Album
I’ve been writing the songs for my next record for the past 16 months, and I think that they’re some of the best songs I’ve ever written. I’ve grown a lot in the past few years, and I’ve challenged myself to expand my subject matter. This record won’t just be about me – it will be about the culture and world that we all live in, and about bringing people together to try to make it a little better.
I’m raising money to pay for the recording, mixing, mastering, pressing, and promotion of the album. I’m very proud of my first two records – both of which were recorded on shoestring budgets – but I did nearly all of the promotion for these albums myself. If I meet my fundraising goal, I’ll be able to not only make this record, but to have a robust promotional campaign as well.
I’ve put together a set of perks that I hope will demonstrate some small portion of my gratitude for your support. Take a look, and see if any of them catch your eye.
I’m really excited to start making this record, and to have you all involved in it. Thank you so much for all of your support!
