I am the lead photographer at Latrice Phoenix Photography. I initially created my business out of a personal interest and desire for photography and art, and later on I realized that it mean a lot more to be than just capturing memories. I lost all my photos from my childhood after my great grandmother passed away and my family was evicted from our home when I was just 10 years old. I learned later in life that was the inspiration that I tapped into when shooting and that was the motivation behind my shooting style and passion, especially for personal projects such as the show “For Colored Girls”. I use photography as a “healing art” by creating series and photo sessions that challenge the eyes, mind, and hearts of my audience while bringing awareness to a social issues.
Latrice Phoenix Photography was launched in 2011. I specialize in Custom Photography and photography packages such as portraits, Maternity, Engagements, Boudoir and Personal photography. I pride myself on making my clients feel secure while bringing them creativity and piece of mind when they chose my services. Ultimately I conceptualize on the ideas and vision of my clients and I bring that to life!
I also create unique photo series that I submit to local Art galleries and Universities to bring the art of photography to wider audiences.
This loan will help me grow my business by allowing me to upgrade my equipment so that I can expand my market to produce more revenue such as weddings, events, and newborn and baby photo sessions.
