Data is transforming every field, from healthcare to sushi restaurants. The 21st century belongs to people who can harness the power of data and better information to empower everything they do.
Education is the great equalizer. Our mission is to democratize data science and bring the tools of data driven decision-making to everyone who wants to improve the quality of their decisions, careers, and lives.
Who Should Support Data Society?
Everyone! If you want to learn data analysis skills or join a community that is passionate about solving problems, become a Data Society member! Data analysis skills are increasingly in demand and will become indispensable as we continue to collect data in new ways.

How Your Contributions Will Help
We’ve spent the past year perfecting our process for creating practical, intuitive courses and have released 3 programs for you to begin your learning journey, but we still need your help. We have a full curriculum planned to help our members learn how to use data science in their current jobs, but it’s going to take a lot more work to get it all done. Your contributions will help us recruit top data science experts to create materials and cover production costs.
Experts + educators. Our team is made up of expert data scientists and top tier educators – we break down complex ideas and make them relevant with interesting case studies, real data sets, and step-by-step instructions. We curate all our content so that every class has the same high standard of instruction and is applicable, intuitive and affordable.
All our courses are modular, so you can learn the skills you need when you need them, anytime, anywhere. Pick up a new visualization technique on your lunch break or run through a whole course in a weekend. Practice your skills with our exercises and build up your portfolio. Download our reference guides and templates so you have the tools you need at your fingertips.
It’s what online education should be.
Data Society members are data experts and enthusiasts who share knowledge, insights, and solutions with a global community. We envision a society where data science ignites conversations and collaboration across fields to solve problems we experience every day.
What We Teach
We distill data science methods into short, intuitive, and practical lessons to teach our members how to manipulate their data quickly, visualize it easily, and analyze it correctly. The skills we teach and the templates we provide give individuals new ways to use their data:
“Your Interactive Visualizations course is AWESOME! I’m absolutely going to use some of these ideas in my work. I have not seen this kind of course elsewhere, so I’d definitely hype this one as a standout feature for your company.” – Anne S.
“After successfully completing a project for my client, they requested to double the keywords of the original project. I took the Data Society course to be able to do some of these things on my own and implemented a data-mining project without any partner assistance!” – John C.
